Recently we took the drive out to Maori Bay from Auckland Central via the northwest motorway, to Kumeu and then on to Muriwai, to Maori Bay. Surprisingly it was busy as locals and other visitors were still out catching the last waves for the day, or were huddled up together in small groups perched up on the hill, taking in the sunset and the beauty of this place.
