The icy landscape of Spitsbergen's Adventdelva glitters in the half moon light. From October to March, the arctic archipelago of Svalbard experiences the Polar Night, a period of time when the sun disappear below the horizon. In Longyearbyen, the largest settlement in Svalbard, the Sun's first rays appear on March 8, when the Sun rises higher than the many peaks surrounding the town.
