Asian paradise flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi)

One of the most beautiful bird to grace this sub-continent, originally they were thought just to be found in India. However, later wider distribution has also been reported. This male of this passerine bird develop the elongated central tail feathers, which floats in air when they fly. A treat to watch indeed. I have been chasing this bird for more than a year. Have just spotted it once before, and was so lost looking at it that I forgot the click. Happens you know!! One more added to my list. And one species whose male can be called "beautiful" and not handsome. The in flight shot......well next time. ========== www.NayanHazra.com
