The Leça is a Portuguese river that is born in Cordova in Santo Tirso. The Leca river basin has an area of 189.9 km² and only 44.8 kilometers lon,.going dewater the Port of the town of Matosinhos. The river rises in Leca Monte de Santa Luzia, in the municipality of Santo Tirso at an approximate altitude of 420 m, covering 48 kilometers to its mouth at the Atlantic ocean near the port of Leixões.
